Balmorhea je kvintet teksaških fantov in deklet, ki ustvarja magično vzdušje jesenske puščave, divjanje nekega orkana ali pa počasno pot reke. Glasba, ki se sama po sebi sliši kot obred dobi na odru svoj praktični izraz – petorica predanih ljudi, ki v glasbi iščejo sebe, znova pa najdejo le glasbo v sebi. Iskrenost, kakršne še nismo slišali.

I think that without knowing it, or setting out to do so, we have always created personal music. Something that deals primarily with internal things and their physical outworking. Without lyrics it is much more difficult to transmit ideas, so we are often left to transmit emotions or feelings, spaces, mental things. And on a more practical side, we have always valued live acoustic performance, being reticent of electronics not because we dislike them, but because we feel like acoustic sounds are one of the most direct ways to communicate. That, and a commitment to never make the same record twice.
