Urtiga is a new permanent group of local improvisers Ina Puntar, Neža Naglič and Ana Kravanja. Through a not so meagre history of listening to each other, during their search for improvised play, the girls have managed to breathe some fresh air into the new collaboration with their abundance of dynamic potencial. Their juxtaposition of percussive and pulsating self-sufficient layers of the expanded sound of vocals, piano and violin leads to surprisingly down-to-earth stamping crackling, which combines into detailed trumping textures and successful illusions of sonic homogeneity.
