Poetry festival Mlade rime – poetry reading by young and unrenowned poets

– Two student plays by students of the 2nd grade class of Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana – Outerspaces (concert) Outerspaces is the new Bandproject of Cara Beth Satalino, a New York-born chanteuse with a rougher than typical edge. From the forefront of Atlantas underground music scene and with her beautiful and delightful voice, shes coming down a long road with singer/songwriters such as: Greg Sage (Wipers), Chan Marshall (Cat Power), Dan Sartain, Jenny Lewis, Rilo Kiley,. Neil Young, PJ Harvey, Aimeé Argote (Des Ark) or Ken Chambers (Moving Targets). Very soon Outerspaces will release their first EP on Matador after releasing records with her old Band Witches and her Solo record on thecompanywiththegoldenarm (europe) and Bakery Outlet (USA). Two european tours as a solo artist and one european tour with her old Band Witches now brings her back with Outerspaces a temporary duo (together with Chester Gwazda, guitar player of Dan Deacon fame on her side.) The Good Ones EP by Cara Beth Satalino Chester Gwazda first made his name as an underground producer, recording and mixing breakthrough records, at times for nothing but food and lodging, for some of the most interesting groups in the American indie scene — acts like Dan Deacon, Future Islands, Cloud Nothings, Ed Schrader’s Music Beat, Air Waves, etc. — to the point where b magazine saw fit to dub him Baltimore’s “best producer of indie-rock.” He has also long been a sought-after live player, performer synth and bass duties for the Dan Deacon Ensemble and Nuclear Power Pants. Despite his full schedule realizing the visions of others, he was all the while quietly writing and recording an ever-growing personal catalog of indie-pop nuggets. These songs became Shroud, available as a cassette from Friends Records, as a name-your-price download via bandcamp, and soon as a vinyl record from UK’s Upset the Rhythm. With Shroud, we finally see the producer in Gwazda off the leash. The album is full of vocal harmonies, meticulous arrangements, & precise timbres that bespeak Gwazda’s sensitive ear and fascination with pop music. And he’s honed his touring setup to capture Shroud’s oversize sound live. Crossing Europe all over the last years with Dan Deacon he will end up playing All Tomorrows Parties in June, but before Chester will be one more time part of the travelparty of Dan Deacon, he and Kevin o´Meara (drummer of Dan Deacon) will do a first european Chester Endersby Gwazda solo tour together with Cara Beth Satalinos Outerspaces.
