This year Druga Godba introduces a new concept for it’s 29th edition. Starting on Friday 10th of May with Rokia Traoré at Križanke. One ticket guides the public in 29 hours through Ljubljana and a musical program that reflects today’s diversity and quality from all over the world.
Friday night/Saturday morning, 11 May 2013:
Damir’s at Druga Godba again? Yes, and this time you get a double dose. Although he has paid us fairly regular visits since first appearing on stage in Slovenia, whether performing or presenting his SevdahLab workshop, we are still curious enough to want to know what he’s doing with sevdah music today. Here he presents his new musical grouping, a trio of bass, drums and guitar, which weaves eternal stories that count time a little differently, through music seemingly embroidered from lace. Ivan Mihajlović, Nenad Kovačić and Damir Imamović will play a concert in the small hours. Later on Saturday, after a sleepless night, we will accompany Damir to a literary beat, in an altogether different metre.
