From shorts to a feature film in one crazy show
This time the improvisers of the Improvisational Theatre of Ljubljana – IGLU Vid Sodnik, Juš Milčinski and Peter Frankl and their special guest Rob Wilson (London, Great Britain) will take on the concept of Christmas movies. Yes, those diabeticly sweet films that always prepare us for the time of Christmas miracles, sentimentality and presents. Yes, presents!
But TV unfortunately always serves us the same old “average December – mental breakdown – miraculous ending” triangle… well, we’re not taking the same road this time! You see, the improvisers will first show short snippets of scenes, that could turn in to a feature film. But the audience will get to decide, which one they liked best – and the chosen scene will earn the right to become a fully improvised feature Christmas blockbuster!
About IGLU: Improvisational Theatre of Ljubljana are Vid Sodnik, Juš Milčinski and Peter Frankl, who joined forces in September of 2013 in dedication of their love of improv theatre. They enjoy the adrenalin the spontaneous style of improv brings to the plate and love playing with their guest improvisers, guest musicians and each other.
About Rob Wilson: Rob Wilson is a renowned English actor, improviser and producer, who mostly works in London. He’s known for his incredible verbal skills and word bending. He regularly teacher, performs and produces Shakespearean improvised shows – the last one at one of the Europe’s biggest cultural festivals – the Fringe festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. You will definitely be taken by his spontaneity and stage energy!
About improvisational theatre: improv is a form of theatre, where the actors are scriptwriters and directors of their own scenes. The shows are build spontaneously, without a script. The stories are made by the energy of the evening and by audience’s suggestions, that actively participates in the making of the show.
